Preliminary regional consultation with MENANPUD

In February 2024, MENANPUD (a community-led regional network for People Who Use Drugs in the Middle East and North Africa) and MENA Rosa conducted a preliminary regional consultation for members from MENANPUD and MENA Rosa networks. It aimed to identify advocacy initiatives for women living with HIV and women who use drugs in order to allow them to share experiences, and identify common grounds for which they will prioritize advocacy interventions.

This was followed by a series of national consultations in Tunisia, Lebanon and Morocco and the development of a regional action plan aiming to improve access to services for women who use drugs and women living with HIV (December 2024).

The partnership with MENANPUD lays the foundation for MENA Rosa’s future initiatives in supporting the movement of women who use drugs.
