Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights – Mapping Report

The COVID-19 pandemic severely disrupted sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) services across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Lockdowns, economic slowdowns, and strained health systems limited access to essential care, especially for Women in All Their Diversity (WiTD), including women living with HIV, migrant women, sex workers, and other marginalized groups.

To assess these impacts, MENA Rosa, under the Global Fund (GFATM) grant, conducted a regional mapping study in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia, and Morocco. The findings reveal significant challenges in SRHR accessibility during the pandemic and highlight the urgent need for inclusive emergency response plans.

This report provides evidence-based recommendations for policymakers, donors, and civil society to ensure SRHR services remain accessible and resilient for WiTD during health crises and recovery periods.
