In 2021, under the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB, and Malaria (GFATM) grant “HIV: Sustainability of Services for Key Population in MENA region” Nadoum Programme: MENA Rosa drafted a treatment literacy informative toolkit in English, Arabic and French aiming to expand the quality care, treatment, support and prevention services to reach women living with HIV.

MENA Rosa focused on enhancing treatment literacy among 160 women living with HIV in the MENA region, in particular women in rural and remote areas as well as Sudanese refugee women living with HIV.
As part of this effort, five two-day workshops were held in Egypt: Alexandria, Cairo, Fayoum, Tanta, and Zagazig; and three in Morocco: Guelmim, Tiznit, and Taroudant.

As part of MENA Rosa’s commitment to up-scale access to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and mental health services for women in their diversity (WiTD), a series of capacity-building workshops and focus group discussions were conducted across five countries – Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and Tunisia. A total of 147 WiTD engaged, representing diverse backgrounds.
